Park City

Park City

Residents of this town mined silver at the turn of the century. Now famed more for its winter sports than its precious metals, Park City retains much of the charm and authenticity of the town as it was more than a hundred years ago.

Just 35 miles (56km) from the Salt Lake International Airport, Park City is a world-class ski destination. There are three ski resorts, piles and piles of fresh mountain powder, and a free public transportation system that takes you from one resort to another.

If you don't feel like skiing, visit one of a variety of galleries where you can gaze at or buy the works of numerous local and international artists. Relax in a spa, visit the many small boutiques, eat some outstanding ice cream or go shopping at the nearby Factory Stores @ Park City.

Park City winter activities are not limited to skiing. You can take a snowmobile tour, go to dinner on a horse-drawn sleigh, go horseback riding or try your hand at winter fly-fishing. Even if you never step foot into a pair of skis, you'll find something in this unique town to delight you.
